Major Morsels: Best Bar Bites & Tapas

For reasons of economy and a consuming sensation-seeking palate the Dining Docent occasionally resorts to feeding at the bar. Happily I have found a multitude of innovative small plates, tapas, and bar bites throughout Miami and the Beaches. Here are some of my favorite restaurants for major morsels:

Michael's Genuine Food & Drink, Design District

Pork belly and beef cheeks stand and deliver on the graduated menu here. Snacks, small plates, medium ones and large tempt every taste.

Senora Martinez, Design District

Tapas are tantamount to fine dining at this latest progeny of chef Michelle Bernstein. I would suggest you try everything.

Meat Market, South Beach

If you're just meeting for drinks this up-market steakhouse treats you to the most delectable bar snacks, including crunchy chickpeas with herbs. 

Prime 112, South Beach

In a word: bacon. There's nothing left to say.
